Davenport, Cyril.   Samuel Mearne, binder to King Charles II.  Chicago, The 
Caxton Club, 1906. Original quarter cloth and paper boards, printed paper 
label on thebackstrip. Book-plate of Milton W. Smith on the front 
pastedown, label a bit rubbed, otherwise fine. One of 252 copies. 24 
numbered plates in color, plus illustrations in the text. 118 pp. $450

Williams, Gordon R.   Fantasy in a wood-block, or what occurred when John 
James Audubon, the naturalist, visited with Thomas Bewick, the 
wood-engraver, in the year 1827.  Chicago, the Caxton Club, 1972. Original 
quarter black cloth and purple paste paper boards. Fine. With a print taken 
by R. Hunter Middleton from the wood-block which Mr. Bewick was engraving 
at the time. One of 500 copies. Designed by Greer Allen. 12 pp., followed 
by a plate showing the wood-block and two plates showing the use of the 
burin.  $50

Winger, Howard W.   Printers' marks and devices.  Chicago, The Caxton Club, 
1976. Original maroon cloth. Fine. 107 pp. One of 600 numbered copies. 
78printers' marks illustrated and described. This copy has two tipped-in 
leaves at the front headed: "Presented to John Michael on the occasion of 
the March 18, 1992 meeting of the Caxton Club with the appreciation of the 
members and guests whose signatures appear below". This hand-written notice 
is followed by the signatures which take up the rest of that page, plus 2 
1/2 following pages.  $75

Adlum, John.   Memoirs of the life of John Adlum in the Revolutionary War. 
Edited with an introduction by Howard H. Peckham.  Chicago, The Caxton 
Club, 1968. Original blue cloth, printed paper label on the front cover. 
Backstrip lightly faded, corners lightly bumped, otherwise near fine. 143 
pp. Printed at the Acorn Press in Maywood, Illinois. Of 1100 copies 
printed, one of 500 in cloth.  $35
