Simon, E.T. CORRESPONDENCE DE L'ARMEE FRANCAISE EN EGYPTE, interceptee par
l'escadre de Nelson; Publiee a Londres; avec une introduction et des notes
de la chancellerie anglaise, traduites en francaise; suivies
d'Observation... Paris; Chez Garnery: An VII (1799).

The French edition of a volume first published (with great glee) in
London, featuring items of Napoleon's correspondence from Egypt which had
been intercepted by Nelson's fleet.

Hardcover. 6"x9", 244 pages plus a folding map of Egypt. Bound in newish
red cloth, with the title page laid down (evidently some time ago as it is
laid down on old paper which itself shows soil and some edge wear). Some
internal soil and a few stains; the map has a few minor spots of soil but
is otherwise in nice shape and not torn. $400.00
