First collected edition of this scarce 18th cent. periodical. The first 5 
numbers of the Whig-Examiner were edited by Joseph Addison. The 45 numbers of the 
Medleys were edited by Maynwaring and Oldmixon and were principally directed 
against Swift and his crowd.
