cloth, Square Quarto, [xii], 211 pages, Full page black and white etchings.
Near fine in a near fine, price-clipped dust jacket, Jacket in Mylar
protector.
      Lovely drawings of Maryland dwellings built between 1642 and 1830.
Each etching is accompanied by text that gives the history of the house.
Includes houses from every county in the state. This classic was originally
printed privately in two volumes in an edition of 200 copies in 1939. There
were updates to the information for this edition as well as an attempt to
determine which of the buildings had been demolished since 1939. The
etchings are truly wonderful and reproduced here in superb quality. Bound in
off-white cloth over boards with gilt and dark brown stamped spine and upper
board, endpaper maps. Slight bump to each lower fore corner. Jacket has
minor edge wear. Handsome copy.    $100.00
