NEWTON,  Edward A. DERBY DAY AND OTHER ADVENTURES. Boston:  Little
Brown  1934.  First  Edition.  Copy #110 of  1129  SIGNED  by  Newton.
Illustrated  with photographs and reproductions. Beautifully bound  by
James  MacDonald  in  3/4 red morocco with  gilt-ruled  borders  and a
handsome  horseshoe-motif gilt-decorated and lettered spine with  five
raised  bands  and  contrasting  morocco  labels.  Bookplate  of  John
Whiting  and  Helen Otillie Friel neatly tipped over the bookplate  of
Robert  Wetherill, Jr. on the verso of the front free endpaper.  Minor
scratch  here and there with a little wear to corners and edges but in
very  nice condition. Beautifully bound copy of this otherwise  fairly
common book.                                                   $200.00
