First edition in English of Azuni's treatise, influential upon the
law of prize, well-known for its analysis of the Rhodian sea laws
and the Consolato del Mare, and one of several works bearing upon
American efforts to codify international law.

The only quarto edition of Barnes' reports, found in the good favor
of both Chancellor Kent and Holdsworth, the latter of whom termed
them "generally reliable"; not that common, five copies in RLIN in
this country; with the advertising leaf.

A principal contemporary source of the still mysterious death of
Essex while imprisoned in the tower, leading to Braddon's own trial
and imprisonment which lasted until the landing of William III;
with the rare frontispiece depicting the crime scene.

The first edition of Dudley's treatise on political theory,
curiously printed by the Rosicrucians in the mid-19th century,
written in justification of absolute monarchy as Henry VIII was
crowned and as Dudley futilely sought to avoid his execution.
