quarter vellum and brown paper boards. Corners lightly rubbed, rear gutter 
darkened, otherwise near fine. Printed at the Chiswick Press. Not

Cobden-Sanderson, T. J.  Cosmic vision.  Thaives Inn, Richard 
Cobden-Sanderson, 1922. Original cloth. Lower corners bumped, otherwise 
very good. [143] pp. Includes A chronological catalogue of books and papers 
printed and published at the Doves Press, 1900-1916. Portrait of 
Cobden-Sanderson as a frontispiece. Part VIII, p. 112-13, describes the 
establishment of the Doves Bindery.  $75.00
Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, & Comm Report of the 
Committee on Leather for Bookbinding.  London, William Trounce, 1901. 
Original printed wrappers. Initials W. S. B. at the head of the front 
wrapper, edges darkened, crease on the bottom edge, otherwise very good. 20 
pp. The committee included T. J. Cobden-Sanderson, Douglas Cockerell, Cyril 
Davenport, Richard Garnett, S. T. Prideaux, Joseph Zaehnsdorf, and many 
others. The report focuses on the nature of the decay of leather, the cause 
of the decay (original treatment, storage conditions), ways of guaranteeing 
the suitability for bookbinding, etc. $75.00
Stanford University Libraries.  The closing of the Doves Press, a letter 
from Cobden-Sanderson with a preface by David Magee.  [Stanford] 1969. 
Original printed wrappers. Front wrapper creased, otherwise very good. 
Printed by Grabhorn-Hoyem. A keepsake to commemorate the opening of an 
exhibition of Cobden-Sanderson bindings, books from the Doves Press and the 
Doves Bindery, selected from the collections of Norman H. Strouse and 
Morgan A. Gunst.  $25.00
