      The completely revised Second Edition of the WPA guide to the city of
San Francisco. Well-written essays on the many colorful aspects of the
city's historical, cultural, and economic heritage. Lots of information on
the Gold Rush and the earthquake of 1906, plus arts and music, the
metropolitan scene, Chinatown, the Harbor, and much more. Appendices include
a chronology, a good bibliography, and a complete index. Well illustrated
with lovely gravure photographs. Bound in tan cloth over boards with black
stamped spine and upper board lettering. Jacket has a few mild rubs and tiny
