Greetings All,

For your consideration:
~
(No. 7406 ) Benecke, Th[eodor].and A. W. Quick (Editors) and W. Schulz
(Managing Editor). HISTORY OF GERMAN GUIDED MISSILES DEVELOPMENT: AGARD
FIRST GUIDED MISSILES SEMINAR, MUNICH, GERMANY, APRIL, 1956.
Brunswick, Germany: Verlag E. Appelhans & Co., 1957. First printing, Full
cloth, Octavo, viii, 420 pages, Black & white photographs, charts, diagrams.
Good, No dust jacket.
A compilation of the rather extensive research and development of
guided missiles in Germany prior to 1945. Numerous missiles had been
constructed by this time and various types were ready for active service by
the end of World War II, but with that the considerable experience in
research and development in this area was effectively scattered among
several countries. Very few individual German scientists and engineers had a
grasp of the research work as a whole, but in 1956 the Advisory Group for
Aeronautical Research and Development of NATO scored a coup when nearly all
German scientists and engineers who had been involved in the guided missile
program accepted invitations to this symposium in Munich to present their
work. This AGARDograph contains these papers. Bound in royal blue cloth over
boards with gilt-stamped spine and upper board. Some spotting to exterior
cloth, a 1" x 1/2" stain and separated adhesion scar at lower inner margin
of pages vi and vii. Interior is otherwise clean and sound. $150.00
