New York: Random House, (1957). Third printing, Full cloth, Octavo,
[viii],1168 pages. Good in a very good dust jacket, Jacket in Mylar
protector.
      Early printing of Rand's most influential novel, in a marriageable,
first state dust jacket. Lower inner corner of front flap has correct date
code '10/57,' original jacket price of $6.95 intact at top fore corner, and
full publisher name and address at bottom edge of rear flap. The book is
bound in dark green cloth over boards with gilt and black stamped spine,
gilt author monogram on upper board, dark green topstain, and buff-colored
endpapers. Moderate fading to cloth around heel of spine, front hinge a bit
tender. Jacket has a few edge chips at head of spine, a 3/4" closed tear at
top edge of front panel, and a vertical crease the length of the spine.
