Folio. (116),977,(3)pp. Extensive index at front. With the final leaf blank 
except for the printer’s device on the verso. Double column text, Greek & Latin. 
Title in Greek & Latin, with a large woodcut printer’s device. Illustrated 
with 27 double-page woodcut maps by Muenster (including 3 repeats) and 7 smaller 
woodcut maps in the text. Cont. roll-tooled paneled pigskin, stamped with the 
initials “M.H.F.” and dated “1580.” Some old marginal water stains, but a 
very attractive copy overall in its original state.     $12,500.00 (trade

Important edition for the fine maps of Strabo’s (c. 63 B.C.) GEOGRAPHY, the 
first attempt to collect all the geographical knowledge at the time attainable.
